Firearm & NFA Transfer Information

We accept firearm transfers, including select NFA items. For FFL information or questions, please contact us at ALLGEAREDUPFFL@GMAIL.COM.

All firearm transfers are by appointment only. Tracking information does not mean your firearm is ready for pickup.

Appointments Required

  • Tracking information does not mean your firearm is ready.
  • Delivery delays are common and shipping windows may be missed.
  • Once your firearm is received, we will contact you to schedule your appointment in a timely manner.
  • Please do not show up unannounced.

Transfer Process

  • ATF Form 4473 is completed on-site at the time of transfer.
  • We do not accept pre-filled forms.
  • The firearm will only be transferred to the person listed on the paperwork that arrives with the firearm.

Required Items for Firearm Transfers

  • Valid state-issued photo ID with current residence address
  • Valid NC Concealed Handgun Permit, if applicable, for NICS exemption
  • Payment accepted by cash, credit card, Cash App, or Venmo

Background checks are required on all transfers unless you are legally exempt.

Transfer Fees

Transfer Type Fee
Regular Transfer $50.00 for the first firearm, plus $10.00 for each additional same-day transfer
Military Transfer $40.00 for the first firearm, plus $5.00 for each additional same-day transfer
NICS Delay Return Appointment $10.00 if you need to return for another appointment after a NICS delay
Transfer Out $25.00 plus shipping costs
Person-to-Person Transfer $50.00–$60.00
NFA Transfer $100.00 per item

Alternative Identification

If you do not have current state identification, the following may be accepted with a valid passport:

  • Current vehicle registration
  • NC voter ID card

All documents must be valid and non-expired.

Transferring a Firearm to ALL GEARED UP! from Another FFL Dealer

Email ALLGEAREDUPFFL@GMAIL.COM with the subject line FFL Transfer.

Include the following:

  • Your first and last name
  • Telephone number
  • Order number from dealer, if applicable
  • Name of the FFL dealer
  • Email address and telephone number of the FFL dealer so they can receive our FFL

Transferring a Firearm from ALL GEARED UP! to Another FFL Dealer

Email ALLGEAREDUPFFL@GMAIL.COM with the subject line FFL Transfer Out.

Include the following:

  • Your first and last name
  • Telephone number
  • A brief description of the firearm
  • Name of the receiving FFL dealer
  • Email address and telephone number of the receiving FFL dealer

Important:

  • You may bring your own shipping materials, but please do not bring the firearm already packaged.
  • We will not ship any ammunition with transfers.

Person-to-Person Transfers

Person-to-person transfers are by appointment only. Please email ALLGEAREDUPFFL@GMAIL.COM to schedule an appointment.

  • Both parties must be present for the entire transaction.
  • The purchaser must comply with all state and federal requirements for transfer through an FFL.

NFA Transfers

$100.00 per item

When your NFA item arrives, we will contact you to schedule an appointment to complete the Form 4 using the ATF eForms website.

During your transfer appointment:

  • We will complete the Form 4 submission together through ATF eForms
  • Passport photo is completed on-site
  • Our $100.00 transfer fee includes mailing fingerprint cards and CLEO copy after the Form 4 is completed
  • You will be provided with tracking information for documents that are mailed

If you choose to mail documents yourself, the transfer price does not change.

NFA Transfer Requirements

  • Must have an ATF eForms account
  • Valid identification with current residence address
  • Payment for the NFA transfer, if the item was not purchased through us
  • Two fingerprint cards or an EFT fingerprint file
  • Your eForms login credentials

Important NFA Notes

  • Please familiarize yourself with the eForms Form 4 process before ordering your NFA item.
  • If you are submitting with a trust, please contact us for additional pricing.
  • NFA item approvals can have long wait times, although current approvals have regularly been under 3 weeks.
